Visual fields are a mixed blessing – all of us have groaned when we look at a visual field plot –not really knowing whether we’re looking at something significant or simply a patient who struggles with the test. I will discuss how we can get the best out of fields – accurate results, when to do a field test and when not to go there! Then we will play Trivial Pursuit – looking at the different pieces of pie that help us interpret field test results.  We will put all the pieces of pie together to aid our diagnosis and help us form a management plan for the patient.
