In an era characterised by ever-increasing digital screen exposure among teenagers, this session will explore the complex interplay between the teenage behaviour and ocular health. We will discuss the cognitive and behavioural aspects of teenagers' screen time habits and implications for ocular surface health, as well as the (lack of)compliance with contact lens handling and care among teenagers. This collaborative discussion by the behavioural biologist and clinical optometrist explores the implications for both teenagers and eye care practitioners in promoting safe and effective contact lens use among this demographic. The objective is to develop healthy and responsible behavioural patterns in our adolescent contact lens patients.
